Building Cultures of Connection Through Indigenous Wisdom
I’m Heather.
I created Bimini as a place for healing, curiosity, connection, and becoming more fully ourselves—without pretending the process is always tidy.
My work brings together lived experience, trauma-informed and healing-centered practices, Reiki, community care, Indigenous wisdom, and a deep belief that we were never meant to figure everything out alone.
"I don’t believe healing is about becoming some perfectly healed version of ourselves. I think it has a lot more to do with learning how to belong to ourselves—and to each other—without leaving pieces of who we are behind.”

I notice things. I ask a lot of questions. I change my mind. I tell stories.
The Journal is where I'm making room for all of that—reflections from the road, healing and belonging, culture and ancestry, work and community, spirituality, and whatever else catches my attention along the way.
You don't need to know exactly how Reiki works—or even be sure what you think about it—to be curious about how the experience might feel.
Distance Reiki gives you space to slow down, receive, and simply notice what comes up.
30-minute Distance Reiki · $65
A shorter session for those who are curious, new to Reiki, or simply want a little space to pause
Trauma-informed, healing-centered support for people navigating change, reconnecting with themselves, or figuring out what comes next.
Facilitated community for people who spend their lives caring for, advocating for, teaching, healing, and supporting others.
A framework for getting curious about how you naturally move through the world.
Bimini is a Taíno word connected to the land now called Florida—the place where much of my own story began.
The work I'm building here is shaped by the belief that healing and growth don't happen in isolation. They happen in relationship: with ourselves, with one another, with community, with culture, and with the places we belong to.
My own journey toward Puerto Rican and Taíno heritage—and what I learned through years of working alongside Alaska Native communities—continues to shape how I think about reciprocity, collective care, connection, and responsibility.
Bimini also partners with organizations that want to better support the people doing difficult, meaningful work.
Through consulting, facilitated spaces, training, and Helpers & Healers partnerships, we can explore what connection, sustainability, and healing-centered practice can look like inside your organization.
If something here resonates, you’re welcome to stay connected.
I’ll share new writing, things I’m learning and thinking about, what’s happening with Bimini, and occasional invitations to gather or work together.
